# Virtual Worlds

**Virtual Worlds**

Pure digital worlds created on top of the digitally-mapped real world in phenomenal zones. Multiple, separate virtual worlds can coexist and overlap with the same physical coordinates. Note that a virtual world may be larger than a phenomenal zone or can cover multiple zones in physical space as the area of what the agent can see is usually larger than the area of what the agent can reach, and agent can teleport, as long as the coordinates are correctly calculated. Consider a virtual world as a “website” on the internet or an “app” on smart mobile, or a “mini-program” in an application container, and each of the website or app, may have multiple pages or views, continuous or discrete but with interconnected links.

Note that among other custom worlds there is one virtual world called “Public World”. Consider this public world as the internet itself holding all public content from all agents, while custom worlds are the private local network and internal websites. See “The Zeno World” in the following section about the details of this public world.

**World Engine**

Drives a virtual world and runs all agents’ programs within, with customized rules and configurations set by developers, including the speed of time elapses in the virtual world. All agents (including human driven, robot driven or NPCs) follow certain rules in the world engine and are involved or do their designated tasks by themselves.

Drives a virtual world and runs all agents (including human driven, robot driven or NPCs) follow certain rules in the world engine and are involved or do their designated tasks by themselves. Like the physical world that is ruled by physics laws, the virtual worlds are driven by virtual world engines with alternative sets of rules, similar to reality or purely magical.
